Composition
Each vial delivers Artesunate 60 mg (sterile powder), supplied with 1 ml 5% sodium bicarbonate for reconstitution and 5 ml 0.9% sodium chloride diluent, yielding a 10 mg/ml solution post-preparation.
Uses
It’s indicated for severe falciparum malaria, administered IV or IM as initial therapy when oral routes fail, rapidly reducing parasite load via endoperoxide bridge activation.
