Introduction
Telget 40 (also marketed as Telmistarin 40 tab) from Essendon Formulations (an Astemax Biotech division) is a telmisartan 40 mg tablet used primarily for hypertension management.
Composition and Mechanism
Contains telmisartan 40 mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively inhibits angiotensin II at AT1 receptors, preventing vasoconstriction. This relaxes blood vessels, reduces vascular resistance, and lowers blood pressure without affecting heart rate.
